Congrats on the 1:27!  I wish I could get one.  I'm running 1:28.5 laps
constantly and it's getting boring.  LOL.  I attack the Curva Grande like you,
but I think I am losing my time out of Lesmo #2.

I know what you mean. It took my girlfriend 7 months to finally accept
GPL into our lives (as long as I don't tell her how I finish third in
Spa and o forth...)
I even tried to get her to play it, but she thought the car just
doesn't seem to turn, and she gave up before she began.
But she definitely thinks it's abnormal when I storm out of the room
after having an argument with J.Clark after finishing behind him,
again.
A mate just moved in with his girlfriend and GPL is already coming
between them and their weekends as he works long hours during the
week.
I wonder how married guys with kids manage to have any time to play at
all. And considering some of us also play Quake3, Unreal, RC2000,
MGPRS2, Toca2...!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!...
Somedays I wonder if one day I'll be one of these guys that doesn't
even know which computer games people play...  Fat chance, considering
I work with the dammed things for a living, as a lot of you do.
It's sad I know... But is it?
I don't think so because I ***y love it!

Mauricio.

Marko,

It was very hard for me to give up the Toad as my primary car. I still
love driving it more than any other car.  But in F2 it's my ride, and I'm
looking into a Brabham F1 league.

Let me tell you it is damn hard trying to find time to play when you are
married with kids, it's one of the reasons I am still stuck on 1:31.87...
ok, ok stop laughing and get up off the floor.. it was hard work for me to
even get down to that time :O( The last couple of days I have at least
managed to get a reasonble amount of track time and put in around 100 laps
at Monza but I am desperate to break into the 1:30's.....

The other thing that gets in the way is this work thing I keep having to do,
sure is a nuisance I can tell you. Trouble is my boss doesn't seem to
understand when I tell him I have to leave early to try to refine my Curva
Grande or Parabolica technique.

Married w/ kidS and you were able to do 100 laps at Monza.
I'm married w/ 1 kid(future sim racer) and the only way I can race
undisturbed is by getting up at 5 AM on Sat. & Sun. to get in about
2 hrs each day(I love those 4 hrs.) I can find time during the week but its
late and I'm tired and it shows in my lap times.
 Have a good weekend all.

The best way is to establish the rules early in life;
1)  Don't disturb Dad when he's playing with his toys!

Don,

I have a wife, a 12 year son, and a career that requires about 60 hours
per week. Yet I manage to run 1:28-29s at Monza qualifying for every race
there. And I'm just a mid packer.
