F1 2000 wheel problem

I have a problem configuring my controller in F1 2000. It only seems to
allow me to set my wheel to go either left or right, it is the same if i set
up my accelerate pedal i dont seem to be able to set up my brake. im using a
thrustmaster 2 wheel and pedals. where am i going wrong
