Not while racing,  just in replays.  However, you DO have a marvelous tool
in the***pit, a Tachometer.
MPH is overrated...it just tells you that you are going X speed.  What
the rest of your senses can tell you if you nailed the corner, if it felt
fluid-like, or if it felt like a saw.(  but don't listen to me, my gpl rank
is pretty rank)

The F10 view displays mph as well as other interesting things, like fuel
pressure and water temperature.

Just a thought.  Would it be possible to have 2 computers in a
network.  Start a race.  Then connect with the other computer and have
it do a live view.  Change to the car that you're driving, it would
show your speed and other information available in the replay view at
the same time would it not?

Hi,

Only way i'm aware of is to use the F10 view, aside from that everyone
says watch the tacho and the revs/gear should give you an idea.

Could you not just move the F10 view to***pit level using one of the
camera utils?

All the best,

I don't see why not...though if I had that capabilty I'd prefer to use
it riding in car with the driver behind me, just to keep an eye on
where he is on the track

No, the F10 view isn't static on the vertical axis, so the camera
rises/falls when you go over steep hills or jumps.

In the player.ini file (in the _Your_Name_ folder), there is an
option to
choose default view.  I typically set it to 12, which provides a
perspective
right over the rollbar (some people choose the low down in front view-
dunno what number that is tho).  You then get MPH, and a higher view of
the
track (I'm spoiled by the N2002 roofcam, ok?), but you don't get the
mirrors
or the pitboard.

Thanks for that!!  I've been looking for a way to drive***pit
without the mirrors since I got gpl(I've got a crappy system and get a
fps hit online when racing in car)
