rec.autos.simulators

I'm thinking of picking up DTR from a local store because they only want
$20 for it.  What kind of cars are included with the game?  Are there any
different bodies that can be downloaded for it?  Also, any idea how come
it's so cheap?  I thought it sold rather well...

It has always sold for about $19.99, even when it first came out. There are
a number of "different" cars in the game, but they are really just different
skins and are all the same underneath. There are three different classes,
but within each class all of the cars have the same performance
characteristics. OTOH, the game is really a lot of fun -- especially
on-line. Racing is always close and action-packed, just like the real thing.
