ICR2 modem/laptop problems

by Brian G. Johnso » Sun, 22 Sep 1996 04:00:00

When I go to play ICR2 via modem, I notice that the game will not allow
me to change the settings from COM port 1 (correct?).

I have a Toshiba T2150CDS notebook running Win95 & the modem is a PCMCIA
Megahertz 28.8- and like almost all notebooks, the modem is assigned to
COM port 2.

Not being too familiar with settings, etc., can anyone advise me on how
to change my modem to COM 1 so that I may use the multiplayer feature of
ICR2.

I've tried unistalling the modem and redoing it (hopefully manually
without plug & play taking over) but have been unsuccessful in overiding
Plug & Play to manually assign the PC card to COM port 1.

Thanks for any assistance you may provide!!
