Sounds great.  Im getting the hacked version right now before I go and perchace
the game this friday in vancouver, which should actualy have the game.  Just a
few comments tho.
    1) you probably did miss a damage option, since if a no name company can do
awesome dammage (Castrol Honda SuperBike Champions by Intense Games) EA should
be able to do it a bit as well.  But if you watch SBK, even when the bike goes
flying not much breaks off from the bike,  just suspention getting bent, seat
cover flying off maybe and stuff like that.  The wall bit I wouldnt truly know
about cause that doesnt really happen in SBK racing usualy.  Few mistakes tho,
180 mph crash direct in to wall... guy gets up and starts riding again?  Hmm, so
people are indusructable?  right?  oh well.
2)Dont forget, as you pointed out earlier that EA baught out VIE.  VIE had a
demo out for this game about 6 months or so ago.  EA just decided to wait, or
didn't find it hiding in a corner, and than touched it up and is now selling
it.  So EA didnt exactly make this game, just was more like a editor-in-chief.
3)and about that comment dissing EA Sports games.  first, most games dont
even have world records that ea makes.  second this is only the 3rd EA Sports
racing game (EA sports not Electronic Arts) and they did get lots of help from
VIE since they did finish about 90% aprox of the game before EA baught out VIE.

So far the sim mode is unbelievably hard.  I am not a big motorcycle
aficionado, so I can't comment on the absolute realism, but it sure is
difficult.  One warning sign:  while you CAN blow your engine, it does not
appear that you can damage your bike in a crash (at least not that I have
found in the short amount of time I have played this game).  If you smash
into a wall at 180 MPH, you simply pick your bike back up and go.  Perhaps I
haven't toggled a damage mode, but I doubt it.  My first lap was about as
successful as my first lap in GPL (NOT that I am comparing the two!  But at
least I didn't set a world record on my first lap like most EASports games).
Graphics, as expected, are incredible (but you better have a hoss system to
enjoy full settings).

There are arcade modes that simply help with acceleration/deceleration, etc.

it; sorry I can't report more.  Will try to update as I can.  I will say
this, it's a helluva lot better than NasRev (like that's saying a lot).

It's not *that* bad with a bit of practice. Not as bad as GPL. But,
like GPL, you *do* have to respect the power of your vehicle.

Well, I'm still struggling with just getting the demo to run!  I click to start
the race and my game just locks up.  What's happening?  I've got a Gateway
P400, 64 mb RAM,12 meg  Voodoo2 graphics accel card.

No idea, that's very similar to my system (P2 300, 128MB RAM, 12MB
Voodoo2). Go into Options, Graphics, Rendering and make sure the
Voodoo2 is selected.

I just got it today and like it so far.  Its really too bad that Rendition does not
have a fast card out there, cause this sim really looks good with my Thriller 8meg
AGP card. I have V2 in SLI as well and compared the two.  The Rendition's depth in
color and detail is really impressive. Check out laguna and compare if you have the
above setup.  The biker leathers and paint jobs look killer.  You will notice much
better looking landscape with the Rendition as well.  But, the V2's out-perform it
by a bunch. Full field, full tilt boogie graphic's run smooth with the Voodoo's.

So far I have to ride the bike with the rider in view, get dizzy as hell from the
riders point of view.  This simulator looks to be the better bike sim out there.

Yeah, it takes a while to get used to the***pit view. Try the F2
one, it's better than F1.

It seems to me that it is the most realistic Superbike racing sim out there.
The views are very realistic. Very good graphics. It's not like Motoracer
were if you hit a wall you just stop. You actually fall and fall hard, even
if you so much as touch the grass/dirt on the sides of the track (like it
should be). It's not perfect but it's far and away the best I've seen.

I wonder if Papyrus is considering doing a sim for SBK?

I almost forgot, the sounds of the bikes kind of...well...suck. Hopefully
someone will figure out how to replace them with better sounds.

I think the sounds are spot on. I've been to countless British and World
Superbike races and think they sound about as accurate as they're likely to
get. The Ducati thumps, the Suzuki whails, the Kawasaki barks and the Honda
sings. Awesome.

I've ridden my own GSX-R on the track several times and though I'm no racer,
with a race exhaust on my bike it sounds just like Whitham's No.12 down the
back straight.
