Can't detect Voodoo2 in SuperBike World Championship ?

by Janus ya » Fri, 26 Feb 1999 04:00:00

Hi

I just got Superbike World Championship, for some reason, I
can only select software rendering or D3D rendering through
my ATI Rage Pro !  I want to use it with my V2 SLI, I've tried
disabling the SLI, it didn't help.

Is it a known bug ?  Is there a way I can force to run it in glide (if
it supports glide) ?

Is there any problem that I can select which video card in
my machine is the default D3D card ?

Any advice is appreciated, thanks

Where did you get Superbike World Championship?  I didn't think it came out
until the tenth of March.

Were you able to get it working in the DEMO of SWC, or do you only have this
problem in the retail?

Hmm...that's a good suggestion, I'll download the demo to try it out tonight.
In the meantime, I am suspecting it's my registry screwing things up...

May I ask anyone who has this game to send me a copy of the registry (only
the part contains this game) so that I can compare ?  Thanks a lot again.

Don't think it uses Glide. But via Direct3D, I've had the full game running
beautifully on a twin Voodoo2 setup, at 800x600, full detail, and a
blistering frame rate. (As you'd expect)

A number of people had this problem with f1 racing simulation. In that game
there was a couple of files you had to put in your windows/system directory.
Its a long shot but worth a try. Get the files from www.f1racingsim.com
(look under the faq I think).
