I just picked up my copy of "The Need for Speed". I don't like it too much
but it is still fun. The reason that I don't like it too much is because I
have to run it without video and audio and in low res mode. Thats all because
I only got a 486 DX 2 with 8 megs of ram and a crappy old video card. I think
I'll still keep it though, since I plan on upgrading my PC pretty soon
anyways.

My question is how do I calibrate my T 2. It prompts me to move the joystic
around and go through all the gears. I turn the whell left and right, press
down on both pedals, and press the shift lever. It returns to the control
options screen and I still have to use the keyboard. Am I doing something
wrong. Someone please help !!!!!

You need to use the white adapter that came with the unit!

I never had that problem before.

The only thing I can think of.. do you have that little white plastic adaptor
installed so the game recognizes the T2 as one controller? Otherwise the game
does not get the pedals at all...

Your pedals, without the adapter, are left-right on Joytick 2. The wheel is
Joy1. With the adapter, the wheel is left-right on Joy1 and the pedals are
up-down on Joy1, so a game that only recognizes one Joy/Gameport can recognize
the T2.

So if that is the case, put in the adapter and you should be fine!

Hope this helped.

Is the installation for the T2 that much different from the T1?  It was
basically just a plug and play...
...or WAS there such an adapter in the T1, and I just never SAW it...
Eldred

I am NOT paranoid.  And why are you always watching me?!?
