1) make sure you are signed on the network (ipx loaded all and that
crap).
2) load nascar using "NASCAR -N"
3) go into multiplayer game
4) customize you modem settings to direct connect
5) if it is happy with you it will show an ipx opption on the main menu
of multiplayer
6) you must enter the network id of the player you are racing against in
an option that i can't remember the name of it's on the screen just read
it.
7) one of you choose dial the other player choose answer then you are on
your way.

please note: the answsering user has control over all the game aspect
such as course etc.

have fun and try a little network demolition derby.
