F1RS & seperate axis Nascar Pro?

by Peter » Mon, 04 Jan 1999 04:00:00

Ever since I started playing GPL I have had my Nascar Pro steering wheel set
to seperate axis.  I tried using this setup for F1RS and it does not seem to
work correctly.

Does F1RS support seperate axis for the steering wheel?

And if so, whats the trick?

Thanks in advance..

For F1 you need to have the Nascar setup as a Combined Axis wheel otherwise
the pedals won't be recognized properly.

Make sure you have patched F1RS to the most recent level (1.09 I
believe).

The following is from the Unofficial F1RS FAQ
http://www.f1racingsim.com/faq.htm
Configuring your wheel in F1RS

The best way to do this is to first configure the controller using keys
for each option in the F1RS controller menu.

Then use your wheel and pedals for each appropriate option.

If your pedals are on a separate axis, its important that you have
atleast v1.05 of F1RS installed and that your wheel is setup correctly
in the Win95 game controllers.

I believe you are wrong (though you maybe right for F1RS below patched
versions 1.05).

That may be, but not when I've tested it with that wheel with the TM Pro
Panel...
