Well, they added a DirectX option for the calibration and all problems
are gone (besides getting on pole at C***te...)

Hey guys:  Got Nascar 1999 the other day in the mail and cant seem to get
NROS to work.  It seems to load and then ask me for my sound card.  I have a
M80 Monster Sound and its not listed.  After that it wont run.  Any
ideas????

Nascar 99 don't bother!

NROS uses DOS exe's which can only be used for on-line racing on TEN.
As such, you will need to run the sound set program (it should have
automatically run when NROS was installed) to set up your soundcard.
The problem is the MonsterSound cards will not work with games in a
Windows DOS-box unless you have installed Diamond's SoundBlaster
emulation utility (even then the support is shaky at best).  You'll
likely need to manually input these settings (you'll find them listed
in the Sound, Video & Game Controllers section of the Device Manager)
into the sound set, as it will not be able to autodetect them.  Also
keep in mind that the joystick port on the card will not work for
DOS-box games, so you'll be stuck with keyboard controls.

Ya, what the hell is wrong with you EB. All htis stuff was clearly
labeled on the box... Isn't it?
