I did finally get a reply from Bethesda, maybe after blasting them via this
newsgroup they felt the need to get their "stuff" together. They suggested
deleting all orig install and reinstalling, then trying to run without sound. I
did so sucessfully, then added sound via setup and it works great. I've been
playing the demo for about a year or so and really like it. Like F1RS it takes a
little gettin' used to, it's bumpy, but having driven a few real race cars (back
when I was a little younger, and immortal) they ARE bumpy! Spending all my time
lately on n2, driving the new Atl track, goin' to the real race this weekend and
so forth. I'll report back when I get to run xcar more.
