Since I think you misinterpreted my post I must respond. People should be
treated with respect. This should be the default method of communicating
with a stranger who has not done anything to initiate hostility. In the
real world this what I witness regularly. On the internet this respect is,
at times, woefully absent. One theory is that it's easy for ALL OF US to be
brave from the safety of our keyboard. I don't hide behind my keyboard in
the sense that I don't take pot shots at innocent people like a little
weasel waiting for a chance to pounce. I take issue with what I view as
unnecessary hostility and I must respond to it. By the way, if any of us
met Paul at a party and he was 6' 6" 240 lb.. would we say "Hey ***boy,
nice English sentence!" Assuming you were smaller, I'm sure your answer
would be no. Unless, of course, you had a high powered rifle with you.
Hey if you're 6' 8" 270 lb.. and live near me then you win, I'm wrong and
sorry I wasted your time sir! ;-) Seriously, there are so many annoying
internet heroes, fearless in their ***. While I am no testosterone
tough guy I am also not a weasel who preys on strangers so I can feel
superior by demonstrating my visual acuity and intellectual prowess through
my amazing gift for noticing the ever so slight spelling error. I do notice
the shitty spelling and poor communication skills on the net and in the
world. I would certainly like to improve this mess, however, I will do so
constructively not destructively. I just don't like to arrogantly ridicule
anyone. I was fortunate enough to have a quality education (I also paid
mucho dinero for it so I'm not on the soap box feeling guilty). However, I
never pick on the easy target. I'd rather joust with a juggernaut than
pummel a putz (I really overuse alliteration, what a schmuck!). I find
pointing out spelling errors inherently pompous. This is my perception. I
fail to see any helpful intent. It seems more like: "Excuse me, dumb ass,
could you please learn how to spell." I believe confident and mature men do
not need to pointlessly prey on innocent posters to prove their virility.
Please understand, however, that my ass kicking comment was intended to be
general (i.e., A weasel can sure use that friendly reminder that an ass
kicking hurts). It was written more for effect than my actual belief. I
certainly was not directly threatening anyone, if my post appeared that way
I apologize. As for cursing, it's always the same bullshit comment (more so
by others than you), "Doh! If you curse you lose because only losers curse!"
(should be read using Homer Simpson's voice). Yeah, I get it, you make up
the rules and I lose if I break them, that makes sense. Finally,
I admit I'm not that tough. The last fight I had I suffered a broken nose,
a dislocated shoulder and I lost 2 teeth. Hey, my wife can get a little
*** when I don't take out the trash. BTW, I think you agree, isn't a
little friendly "attempt" at humor better than wise ass remarks?
