GPK 3DFX problem

by Kevin Barne » Thu, 15 Nov 2001 14:53:57

Hi Everyone
I have just changed the drivers for my voodo 5 from unofficail ones to the
latest official ones (all be it they being about a year old). I did this
because other games werent runnuing on the ones i had. However since doing
this GPL will now only run in D3D nd not 3DFx. I still get the 3DFX logo
come up at the beginning but when i go to select track it says could not
load track. Anyone got any ideas on this one? Im sure i used ti use these
drivers onkay so it seems a bit strange. I have a P3 500, windows 98 and
direct x8
Thanks in advance

Do you use modified dashboards ? If you use hi-res dashes the tracks
wont load in 3dfx.

Try replacing your cars one at a time with the original ones, most likely it
is something in your car files.  WIth 3dfx, because of texture size limits,
you have to run split dash cars, you can't really run the hi-res dashes,
they have to be split.
