NASCAR: More on chassises...

(Chassis differences aren't covered in European manual, and I suspect
they are not discussed in US manual either.)

I did some tests with all chassis types in Talladega and started to
wonder if there really is any difference in this selection.  Standard
weather (70 degrees/no wind) and with restrictor plate I was able to get
the following lap times:

  Ford:    200.805 mph
  Chevy:   201.200 mph
  Pontiac: 201.029 mph

I didn't get any "close to perfect" laps with Ford, so with some more
test laps the differences could get smaller.  On the other hand I got
several smooth laps (steering considered) with Chevy and Pontiac.  Or
maybe there are differences in car balance between Ford, Chevy and
Pontiac?

Actually, there are basically no differences in the chassis at all.  The
only differences there would be are ones that the different teams build
into them.

These cars a built from scratch, either by the team, or by Mike Laughlin,
Banjo Matthews, or another car builder.  The only difference between
manufacturers are the engine, and the body.  Since the body is a big
factor at Talladega, maybe this caused the handling differences.
