Virtual Karts: Network Play

I hope this is the appropriate place to post this....

Has any one played Virtual Karts with other players over a network?  Is it
fun?  The demo seems a bit boring, mainly because the cars go so slow, and
there isn't much skill required to corner effectively.  Also, does each
machine need it's own CD to run the network game?

The game is SHITE let's face it.
My Dx2/66 takes like THREE MINUTES to load a single circuit
and like you say even when it's all loaded and running it's
a dissapointing game -- no power turns and oversteering
opportunities.

Is it any good on a Pentium?

Looks really good (or at least as good as can be) on a Pentium.  This is just
the demo version.  It's disapointing to hear that the driving model isn't very
realistic.  I really thought it would be a simple game, but with realistic
driving, as opposed to just another arcade-like driving game.
