John, tell me what is wrong with my car file. It's the same one I've used in
the last 2 races. I saw a couple of generics at Pocono. The 17 and the 27.
Do I need to download another carset?

Was I non-textured from the beginning or just in the race? -I had to quit to
fix my connect and, after I'd rejoined, it's normal for you to see me as
"blank".

That may have been it. I remember seeing the 27 textured, then later he was
blank. Now that think about it, you were textured during warm-up I think.

Your filename has a "[1]" in it.  Delete the "[1]" from the filename
and re-select your car file in the game.

When you disco/quit and re-join, your car becomes generic with no
number of it. I hope that's fixed in the patch.

I checked, there is not a "[1]" in the file name.  It's
ras42_j_paramore.cup.car

FWIW,
I saw your car just fine at Pocono...

And I saw that big 5 on your door just fine when you were running second and
someone shot past me and turned you broadside during one of the caution
flags. :-)

Hmmm, I have this one for you:

ras42_bluestringer.cup.car

I downloaded it off the forum after you uploaded it.  Please do not
rename the file you're using now - I'll rename mine.

name.

I must have missed that one. I would try begging off with the excuse
that I'm using some heavy-duty pain meds, but I flushed the percocets
almost 3 weeks ago. :)

That stuff is great when you really, really need it, but will 'sneak' up on
you very quickly.  Good choice :)

Eeek!! -that stuff is lethal. Did you actually take that?

They don't even give those to terminal cancer patients anymore over here.
Good riddens!!

It depends.  You have a good chunk of your spine removed and replaced with
steel, and they have their place, for a while :)  I speak from experience...
