Hi,

I've just been watching (UK) GP weekly tv show. They've just showed a
simulator in action at one of the hospitality tents at a GP. It look
awesome - a full scale mockup of F1 car, with a very large flat screen
display at the front of the***pit. The steering wheel looks like a genuine
F1 wheel.

From the quick glance I saw of the screen, the graphics looked awesome -
state of the art.

Does anyone have more information on this simulator? Info like who did the
software, realism etc etc would be useful.

Is it just a toy for the corporate guests and VIPs, or is this good enough
to used by drivers to practice circuits etc?

Hm.. the only ones i saw was Vodaphone / Ferrari who had Ferrari F1-cars
with a display infront (flatscreen) and running F1 2002 by EA Sports.

Williams uses EA Spors F1 2001 for PS2 with a moving version of their
Williams car (looks fab :)

other then that.. no idea

Car was green - but I don't know which team it was...

Maybe it was F1 2002 - with everything turned up to full!

BRD (the peeps who make the F1 Sim steering wheel and pedals) have full
size FI (and other cars) mock ups. I understand they had one at Goodwood
this weekend too.

You can hire them from them, and you can also buy them (v.expensive
though) details are on the BRD website...(theres a link on my webpage
under the game hardware section).
