I' just waiting to insert the CD only to have a siren and red flashing
lights pop out at me while my PC sizzles and smokes:-)

BUT, what hardware is those guys running? If you look closely those
1600x1200 shots is anti-aliased! And it's no cheap antialiasing
either, at least 3x3...
My guess is it's pre-renders or taken from a software simulator...

We can understand him, but....Lui il capte rien de ce qu'on raconte.....

These are definitely in-game screenshots. As far as I know the system
requirements won't be outrageous...Chris West told me the minimum spec is
about a P200, of course 1600x1200 would require some faster hardware to run
30 fps...

4 sample FSAA, although I'm fairly certain it's much more than that,
at 1600x1200x32(I didn't see any 16-bit dither patterns either) would
chew up as much as 87M of graphics memory or more.
The only PC-hardware I can think of that could actually do this is a
V5-6000, with it's 128M of memory.
I meant by pre-rendered that the models, settings and textures and all
that probably are from the game, but the images isn't rendered
real-time on hardware. That's what I'm assuming is done until someone
says otherwise anyway... Maybe someone can shoot off a question to
those West Racing guys?

Keep up the good work, mate!

I got an email from Chris West, one of the developers, and he said
that they were taken on a PII450 with a V5-5500 at 16-bit 4XFSAA.
That's very, very, impressive, IMHO. I couldn't see any dithering or
banding, but then again the .jpg:s were pretty highly compressed...
Now we just need an NV20 or Rampage or something... :)
