Ireally dont care much if it will make you faster or not...  in some cases
faster isnt even and issue.. Some times *safer* is the big issue...

Case is point:

Try the default 'fast' setup at Bristol or Texas;  turn off all 'aids' give
it a real go on cold tires with and full tanks...   but watch out in turn 3!
Do a few laps and see how "scary" that car is on cold tires.

Go back to the pits, turn on "stability help" and then reset the car so you
have new cold tires and a full tank...  and then give it a real good go
again.

Now if that dont display the problems with this - I dont know what will...

All i'm interrested in is a fair fight...  if I'm "not allowed" to use it I
should be confident that others cant use it either. An option that allow the
host to approve or ban these aids - will solve the problem in 1, 2, 3!
If I'm running a league - should I not be entitled to set all the rules for
*my* league?

Make it an option and everyone will be happy - that way those who need these
aids can use them in *their* races...  and those of us who dont want to see
them being used in *our*  races, can sleep better knowing no "cheating" is
taking place.

The same goes for that so-called wall-riding "fix".  If some people have
issues/problems with wall-riding in their races -they could turn the
anti-wall riding thing on and be happy with that..  Then those of us who
really think the fix causes more harm than good can turn it off and enjoy
safer races without worrying about cars being 50 mph off pace.

It cannot be that hard to include - can it Papy?

WellSaidEd!

I, for one, cannot understand why anyone want to miss out on the thrill of
being able to lap Bristol quickly and consistently in a no-aids mode. To
feel the tires heat up, the car "go groovy" and then the frustration when it
later on starts to push. The challenge of planning the race, strategy, to
get back at those guys who blew by you in the first laps...ahhh.
