N2002 just gets better and better

I've just been involved in the best online NASCAR race I've competed in. It
was at Richmond as part of the Fast Food Racing League. The 160 lap race had
everything including 6 yellows for 25 laps and a 103 lap green stint.

The thing that really surprised us all was that the long green stint was
stopped by the sim throwing out a yellow for debris on the track. None of us
even knew this feature was included in the sim. It made for a fantastic race
since the element of randomness at the end of a long green stint meant that
some people had pitted just before the yellow came out, just like real life.
Nice one Papy :)

103 laps green !!!!.  I didn't think such things were possible.  Virtually
every race I've been in on the Papy open servers has a wreck on the pass lap
(not caused be me I might add)

It was an absolutely cracking race - the debris yellow was a nice touch, I
agree, but seven cars within 2 seconds of each other for the first 40-odd
laps was a sight to see, too. Remember, this was at RICHMOND!
Best decision I ever made was to form this league - great bunch of lads,
the highest standard of driving I've seen (certainly on this side of the
pond), and no hassles, and here we are nearing the end of the second season.

Just did 99 green laps at New Hampshire yesterday in the ESCORS NASS
division... *phew*
In the mad scramble for positions in the end, 2 yellow flags were out in the
final 5 laps, but it was fun.

Looking forward to seeing you racing with us again next week then,
Ian! :)

It wasn't a great race, it was fantastic. Loved that long green stint,
especially as there was lot of passing going on. Couple of yellows in
the end made the racing even more intense.

This is racing how it should be really, and N2002 is so much more
enjoyable in that respect than N4.

I might try to get in the league, too.  But, the thought of racing with such
aliens has me more than a bit worried...  I *definitely* need to find more
speed SOMEWHERE...

Eldred, it seems you have been looking for more speed in your racing sims since the invention of the
wheel....<G>

Well, EP, you needen't worry about the 'aliens', we only have 2 or three of
em. As Phil says, the timezone's probably against you, though, starting as
it is at 3 EST. You don't have to be super-nippy to join us, you just have
to be confident in holding a car for really long stints, and you have to be
a nice guy (it even says so in our rules!)

It was designed specifically to keep riff-raff like you out, actually, Goy
