Checked the conditions before starting a race and it said current =
Overcast, predicted = Overcast.

Picked dry tyres and on the starting grid and in the race it was raining.

Overcast surely does not mean rain.

'Predicted = Overcast', 'predicted' being the operative word.

Sounds right to me.  See they don't just simulate the physics well, they
simulate human forecasters  very well too.

I guessed they worked closely with Mclaren on that aspect

I had a situation where warm up was overcast but the race was dry, however
when I got to the grid the track was still wet.
the other cars must have known cos they all pitted later when it dried out.
I ran with drys then passed em when they pitted.

:D  good one.  they looked particularly amature-ish today.
i'm anxious to read the post-race reports to see what they have to say
for themselves.

They did, but I bet Michelin are a bit red-faced too.

Yeah, this has happened to me a few times, it says dry/dry and the track
is still soaked.
