Installing F1RS patch?

by Michael S. Davi » Mon, 23 Feb 1998 04:00:00

Racers,
this may seem like an awfully dumb question, but how do you install the
F1RS patch ver7. I downloaded two different copies and when I click on
the executable file it says "Program cannot run in DOS."
Well, that's great except I'm not in DOS, but in Win95 Explorer. For
grins I tried it in DOS also. I also did not see any sort of readme file
so I figured it couldn't be too tough. What's up with the patch? Please
respond by e-mial and the group, my news server seems to be missing some
of the messages.
        Thanks, all the best, Mike

Hi Mike,

Download it again from the French server...Many have complained with
a similar problem, but the one I downloaded worked like a charm.

Cheers!

Marc

Extract the patch to a temp directory, and run VOOPATCH.
Simple as that!

I had the same problem myself, so I downloaded it from a different site
and it worked then.
