For all you GPL groupies: a nice Jim Clark/'67 tribute has been added to the
OEGL website. Over 120 pictures, some of which have never been printed or
published on the web before.
Have a look at http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Great site - and you don't need to be a GPL groupie to appreciate
Jim Clark...

My wife got me a framed photo of Jim Clark driving a 49 at Sandown
(Melbourne) in early 1968, signed by the photographer - kinda cool :)

Speaking of Sandown, final round of the V8's is there this weekend
and I'm taking the 1yo to his first race meeting...

Wow. Would you make a scan of that and 'donate' it to the tribute site?

Have fun at Sandown. BTW, did you know the GPL version has just been
released?

I have numerous autographed photos he signed for my family. My father
took photos for the Lotus team in 1963-77 at Indy. Jim gave me the
spark plugs from the 1963 second place car while it was sitting there
in the garage still crackling and all hell was breaking loose over the
oil dropping cheating incident. After I had given him the qualifying
photos, and he had signed some for us, and accepted the rest for
himself and the team, he turned to the chief mechanic, Dave Lazenby,
and told him to pull the plugs and give them to me.

Buford,

Would you mind scanning one of those photos and send the scan to the
website? We'd love to put up some original pics (including their source
ofcourse).

I would normally be happy to, but I would prefer to ask the
photographer for permission first.  This guy makes some income
from selling the photos so scanning the photo is not far removed
from piracy.  If I can get his details for you, I'll pass them on as
he has many many photos from the tasman series and might be
happy to help such a noble cause.

Stupid me got dates wrong - will take him in a couple weeks ;)

Looking for GPL version now...
