In 64 he flipped and cut an artery in his hand. Missed the 400.
In 71? He was filling in for Donnie Allison in the Woods Bros
#21 Mercury and really hit hard (forget the track) Several broken
bones, out for a long time.

The '71 crash is probably the one I'm thinking about, although I have this
mental image of a '68 or '69 Torino/Fairlane fastback going airborne.

Are u guys talking about nascar only or wat? Gerhard Berger drove this
number for quite a number of years if my memory dun fail me/wl
