Hi Rick,

First of all, I would like to say thanks for providing input into this
newsgroup.  Your technical information on Indycar II and Nascar has been
very insightful.

What I really wanted to know is the cost of upgrading to new software
released by Papyrus.  Will Indycar II be a complete new purchase for
current owners of Indycar or will there be an upgrade pack (like most
business applications) that will be at a significantly lower price?
Frankly, after having to pay for Indycar, the 2 track packs and Nascar,
I feel that it would only be fair to be allowed to jump on to Indycar II
for a lower price than people getting into Indycar for the very first
time.  It is especially worse in Australia where we are charged premium
prices for games and any additional add-ons.

Also, will Papyrus still continue to release Indycar II with limited
tracks and try to rake more money in by releasing track packs later on?
A better idea would be to include a conversion utility with Indycar II
to allow the tracks from Indycar to be converted into Indycar II format.

Lastly, I am still waiting for the Nascar track pack to be shipped to
Australia.  I would dearly like to see the Nascar track pack release
here.  I'm sure there are other Australian Nascar fans that are waiting
for it.

Oh, and a tip for the upcoming Indycar II.  How about simulating clutch
control which allows the engine to be revved before the cluth is dumped,
resulting in tire burning takeoffs?  Another flaw that was present in
Indycar and Nascar is the lack of engine revving when the wheels are
spinning.  This is blatantly obvious when performing a standing start.
You can hear the wheels spinning, but the engine still revs linearly.
I hope this is fixed for Indycar II.

BTW, when can I expect Indycar II to ship?

Thanks in advance.

<<<

IndyCar Racing II is a complete new purchase.

Also, will Papyrus still continue to release Indycar II with limited

<<<

IndyCar Racing II is shipping with 15 tracks in the box. The only track
from the original IndyCar Racing that won't be in the box is Indianapolis,
and that is due to licensing problems.

Lastly, I am still waiting for the Nascar track pack to be shipped to
Australia.

I think you'll have to take this up with *** Interactive, who are our
distributor.

This will not be in IndyCar Racing II.

IndyCar Racing II will ship during Q4 1995.
