Thanks for your suggestions, GP.

I haven't had any success with any of the ATI drivers later than 4.12. I
just tried upgrading to the newest omega drivers which use ATI's 5.10
driver as a baseline, and fps got even worse than before (I tried the
"maximum performance" profile from the ATI tray tool). This effect is
also seen in other sims, as I get worse fps with current drivers in rf
and N2003, too.

All the best, uwe

Uwe, Check out the RSC GTL FAQ

particularly the one about character animations 3/4 of the way down the
list.

PB - You start out the game with the Cortina and the Mini, no? You can
only run what each Cup allows regardless of what you own, and have to
do the whole challenge with one car (I think that's correct anyway). I
know I bought a Porsche 914-6 and haven't been able to run it yet.
Best thing (IMO) is to see what cars each Cup Challange allows and buy
the best car you can afford for each one.. I got the Mustang Coupe
(not the Shelby 350)  after completeing the 2nd Cup Challange with all
1st place finishes I had bought the Alfa GTC just for it but I bet I
could have done it in a Cortina just fine also..I'm actually not sure
what your question is...?

This sounds like a lot of fun to me and I really loved the demo.  Just
purchased it at GoGamers.com and an hour later got a notice that it had
shipped already :-D

G. Patricks says...

I'm forever jumping up and down in my seat willing the Cortina to
go faster because it feels like it just can't get up and going.
I'm a bigger fan of the alfa which has a welcome 5th cog.

Cheers,
Rod.

Don't know where you've heard that from but the MP is fine.

That looks like a known bug rather than flaky multiplaer as in GTR. From
what I've seen so far, hosting races and joining races, there seems little
wrong compared to GTR.
