I haven't downloaded the replay yet, but it seems to me he is probably
being sarcastic.  Think about the Glen.  Where are you going to scrape
along a rail and gain time?  I imagine the replay shows an Eagle bouncing
from guardrail to guardrail and finally ending up a crumpled ball of
flaming wreckage, but unfortunately my work PC doesn't have GPl, so I
can't confirm my suspicions.  If this is the case, then it's a pretty
funny joke. :)

GP2 had a much better variation on this theme. Those of you who still run it
should try to drive around Brazil for a whole lap, on the outside of the
track on the grass. We used to do this in one league as an aside. It proved
to be quite a fun competition.
