I got a Saitek and I am entirely happy with it.  I don't like the pedals too
much either, but not because they got not enough travel but a bit (just a
bit!) too much travel for my taste!
But I'm kinda used to the short travels of my old Gravis Joystick.
But anyway, the pedals definetely shouldn't keep anyone from buying this
wheel!
