Did this car have a wing in 1967?  I didn't think so - but the West-Racing
website has a picture of a blue "Legends Type 49 1967" with wing here:

Either their attention to detail needs some more attention - or they are working
around a lack of licensing possibly?  I dunno...

The one on their site is based on the 1968 Rob Walker Lotus 49B.  I
think the labelling on the sample card is wrong.  The differences
between the car on ttheir site and exoto.com's Walker 49B model is the
color of the windscreen (the real car is yellow), the color of the
rear wing (the real is blue not silver) and the decals.  Everything
else looks exact from what I can tell.

I'm guessing it's not labelled correctly due to licensing?
Personally, I don't care what they call the cars if they're modelled
accurately and it's possible to change the decals.

BTW, If you poke around the directories on the site you'll find
Villeneuve's 1982 Ferrari GP car. :)

"David Cook"

I think it is simply generic at this stage. No use of the word Lotus on
the packaging. I believe it is a simple mock up. Probably to get the
interest of the GPL fans like they wouldn't already be interested :-)
