I think it is a widespread misconception that there are drivers don't get
e***d, angry, nervous and who are always cool during the race.
I think the strength of successful racers is that they are able to contain
their emotions, and to blank their e***ment, anger or nervousness out
until after the race. Thus preventing these emotions from affecting their
driving and their decisions.
Mental strength isn't the absence of weaknesses, it's the capability to deal
with them efficiently when necessary.
