I can't decide! What do you all think? Any place where I can get an
extensive list of features beyond what the company web sites have?

I've heard a lot of good things about Redline Racer but I have
absolutely nothing good to say about Ultimate Race Pro. Well, if I
pushed myself I could probably come up with "better than a poke in the
eye with a sharp stick", or "not quite such a pile of horse manure as
SEGA's Daytona USA", I may even stretch to "quite nice graphics if you
like that sort of thing". None of those detract from the fact that I'm
even sorry I wasted the download time on the demo.

Buy TOCA or F1RS, they're both much more fun and cater to the arcade
market and the sim fan.

Cheers!

F1RS is waaay too much of a sim for me, I can't even turn the corner without
spinning out every time. I just tried the Motoracer demo, and now I want
that too! I guess I should make it between Motoracer and Redline Racer,
because I don't have and bike games yet.

Actually the BEST gameplay you can get in a bike game is Road Rash,
which you can probably find for about 10 bucks. Pretty fast/good
640x480 graphics too (for a 2d game).

Why not? It's a hundred times more fun than plain-jain arcade racers
like Moto Racer.

What kind of options do you have in URP? Some screenshots of the areas of
the options menu are what I really want I guess, or just a list of whats in
it.

I don't like it. I _love_ the motocross tracks Moto Racer. If Road Rash 3D
comes to the PC I might check it out, becuase the graphics are laughable
now. I'm very picky about games.

I played the URP demo..its pretty nice..very nice grafiX if U have
3dfx.  I played a few multiplayer games of URP over Kali..it ran
pretty well.  However they need to tweak the network code a bit; it
was hard starting a 3 player game; 2 player was very good tho.  I
havent played RR yet and I prob wont.  Call me crazy but I dont believe
in playing a game that times out in only 15 minutes.  Afterall U only
get one track to race...whoever thought of that was an idiot.

As racers go, URP is graphically superior by about 2 fold.
URP also has a better feeling of speed and handling and ur
car degrades (especially tires) after time....

What do u mean by options? Why don't u just download the demo?
Both demos add up to ~30 megs btw.

I'm not slamming it. MR was an Ok game, and I enjoyed it for a couple
weeks. I'd just rather see arcade racers with a little more advanced
gameplay (and replayability value). BFS1 is probably still me
favourite PC game of all time, and Road Rash is near the top of the
list too.

It only times out if you keep restarting for 15 minutes. If you race and go
back to the menu, the timer restarts. Or so it seems to me. It only timed
out once. And its just demo, after all, how many tracks do you expect?
