SODA Offroad Joystick Problem

by a » Tue, 05 May 1998 04:00:00

I can't seem to get my joystick to work on SODA, but I have no
problems with NASCAR 1 & 2 or Indycar 1 &2 or any other game that I
use a joystick with. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing
seems to work. Anyone know of a patch to fix a joystick problem with
SODA Offroad?

Thanks

Calibrate your joystick in Win95 first, then in Soda.

Without further information, that's all I have to offer.
I have a T2 hooked up via the SB AWE64 port and it works
fine.

I can only guess you have it set up as a keyboard instead of joystick.
You have to reset the options so that the buttons you may need are cleared
first then assigned inside of soda.  i.e.  If button 1 is defaulted as
upshift but you want to use it as a brake, you must first assign the brake
command to an open letter--THEN assign it to the proper button.

(and also make sure you calibrate in Win95 first.)
