Could be your 3D card overheating, though I didn't think Monster2 had a
problem with that. Try taking the case off your PC, and if it continues
locking, put a fan on your 3D card.

If your not sure that you have glide 2.53, then go to the M3D 2 properties box, click on System Info and it should say WinGlide 2.x
Driver Version: 2.53. If not then you need to get the Glide2x.dll file from the 2.53 version and place it at the GPL main directory
(C:\Program Files\GPL\). From an earlier post you can get it here: http://www.shadows.com/nascar/
Also in the M3D 2 Advanced Properties, set the Performance to 90MHz. You might have to reboot to keep this setting, because I have
found that it will go back up when you run GPL.

Actually Monster2's are relatively likely to have overheating
problems, also Diamond said that there can be overheating problems
with processors >= 300 MHz. Though, if the computer doesn't lock up in
other 3D-games (esp. Quake2, Unreal), I think this isn't the problem.

Most likely you have the clock setting too high on your Voodoo2 card and
it's overheating. Without a fan I was never able to go above 92MHz. With
dual fans on each card, 100+ is achievable.
