I dont have N4 yet, but from all the posts i've read, i've never seen a
reason why you think copy protection is the reason the game wont work. Did i
miss something?
Happened to me with GPL, returned the cd two times but still
couldn't install.
Kept displaying messages I had to put the cd in the player
while it was already there.
Bought a new cdromplayer and it worked.
Put the old player in another pc and it still works troublefree
except for gpl.
Can't think of any other reason than that it must be how
Papy/Sierra burns/protect their cd's.
I didn't even have a cd-burner.
Luckely the price of GPL+cdplayer was well worth it in the end.
But I still think it's a stupid way of trying to protect something.

There are very well known issues with SafeDisc and several other protection
methods.
Some won't work with DVD drives.
Some won't work with CDR drives.
Some require the Install/Play CD drive to be the lowest lettered drive.
Some have all the above problems, and are truly a pain in the ass.
NONE of this will deter the dishonest, and only inconveniences the honest
user.
It's BS.

Ummm. What a waste of time and effort. Really. A crack will work
just as well and one has already been mentioned here. The crack is probably
less that 3megs in size. The full game is probably 200+ megs in size. Even
with a high speed connection, what a waste of time.
Of course, the real solution is for Papy/Sierra to make games that
don't cripple themselves.

I'm (fairly) sure that it is *not* legal in the UK, however. I stand to
be corrected, though, if anyone can quote a bit of law (*not* just
their own hunch) at me, though.
