Guy's installed Creative Liveware 3.0,since then i cannot run SCGT or GPL.
I've read the previous comments on the subject from the 28th,i have DELETED
Creative Launcher??(not sure if this is correct as i was trying to disable
the Launcher) when SCGT loads,go's through the movie,tries to load and locks
solid.Sometimes i can get to the menu if i play with the tab+alt key,menu
comes up with the tick in 3drd instead of always ticked under 3dfx,if i get
to the start menu,the start button is blacked.
GPL just locks solid!!
My system is as follows:-
P11-350
64meg ram
Voodoo 3 3000 (with latest version 3 drvs)
Creative SB live
Sorry for the long post,but i am Desperate,PLEASE can someone help me.

Dennis,
I have spent the last two days rebuilding my PC to discover that my SCGT and
GPL lock ups were caused by LiveWare 3.0. Anyway, my final installation put
the very basic components of LiveWare back on, drivers and launcher only, no
tools , no Parrot, nothing else.
With the launcher active GPL and SCGT still fail at specific places (GPL
after the 3Dfx splash screen and SCGT when quitting a race). All you should
need to do with the launcher prior to running SCGT or GPL (or in fact Nascar
3 I have heard) is to get the launcher pull down visible, right click in an
empty area and select exit. The launcher will be active next time you boot
or I think you can run it from the START menu.
Hope this helps, as I've lost hours of time on mine. What I don't know now
is whether it was really worth getting a Live card?

Hey Dennis...

Same thing happens in N3. The only way to avoid lockups is to run at
800X600. The new VooDoo3 drivers don't even help. It is an interesting bug
that I'm sure Creative Labs will fix shortly.

I had the same problem on my PC... (PII266, SB live!basic, voodoo3 3000): no
more GPL (1.0 1.1 or leaked 1.2 all versions lock and I must reboot the
sistem), so I decided to return back to liveware 2.1!!!

I was able to fix this problem on my machine by un-installing the 3.0
software; the un-install offers an options screen, and I selected everything
except the Windows 98 drivers and that fixed it. GPL now starts as before.

Guys, all you really need to do is select exit from the launcher bar and it
will close down, honest, then your games will work. I still have LiveWare
3.0 installed and have just spent two hours on SCGT (winning of course). I
hope you have all e-mailed Creative to get this fixed.
