I know what you`re saying, and I agree with you. I should have gone into
more detail in my original post, because as I re-read it I can see that it
would be easy for some people to get the wrong idea. I know for a fact that
many..... in fact> MOST "GPL people" (cant think of a better term right now
..lol) are great guys that are very helpful and fun to talk with. I was only
trying to point out that I think some GPL`ers (that better ;) have let this
sim go to their heads.... they are on some kind of power trip that I have
yet to figure out. Anyway.... you are right, I should try GPL again. Like I
said, I was very impressed with it the first time I tried it, but at that
time I didnt have the system to run it. I think the reason I dont give it
another try on my new system is because I know that it`s a very demanding
game/sim.... and although I know I would find that rewarding, I also know
that I would be starting at the bottom with so many people so far ahead of
me. I also like to play about 5 or 6 different games these days.... so I
would not be able to devote that much time to GPL (and I know I would need
to spend a lot of T I M E with it to do well at it) . But just for the sake
of seeing exactly what it`s like on a fast system I plan to install it
again, and who knows.... maybe I`ll never wana stop :)
All the best,
Lorne
