gp2 just craps on the other one...f1rs sounds like a game...looks like
a game...and leaves you with the empty feeling of having played a
game...i had f1rs for 2 weeks,,,,i watched them show us a lap of the
circuit the real guys were driving on the broadcast...i recognised the
unrealistic sounds as those i was listening to in the game.....and then
i gave it back.   gpl is pretty damned special...but when the season
proper gets underway...i'll be re-loading gp2.   |o)

it matters not...because an F1 driver will never take the time to try
it.

Spa...not yet.

My thoughts exactly. Just goes to show how good GP2 was/is. Can't wait
for GP3.
BTW where is the best site for updated/new tracks and paint schemes.

Hehe, but that IS a flame, as any demo for UbiSoft sims sucked stones.
Wow, did I just say that? Now don't you start defending the demos... ;^)

I remember an interview with Villeneuve about how he used GP2 to learn
Spa.  He said he was only able to qualify about 14th in the game.  Don't
know what his AI difficulty settings were.

As I recall, that didn't have anything to do with difficulty sections, but
the fact that you can't feel anything in a sim.

Most drivers rely a LOT on physical feedback, and a sim doesn't give that
you. I seem to remember him saying something like it's just visual, and
that's not all that a driver needs to go fast.

I do know that he regularly plays all sorts of video games. And for what
it's worth, the person who suggested that Jacques use GP2 to learn Spa was
Mika Salo.

F1RS or GP2?

Sucked stones? I take it this means that the real F1RS is better than the
demo? I tried the demo and I just couldn't drive it, it was like the car
weighed 4 tonnes and had no breaks so I breaked at GP2 points and just ended
up in the kitty litter. Then I went back to GP2. If F1RS is
easier/lighter/better/more like GP2 than the demo then I might get it. Is
this the case?

It's okay if you say that to the regular guys, but to say that
to a new guy, it's just false and misleading advertising...

The product is a lot better than the demo, and F1RS is one of the
best modern day F1 sims available.

I would take MGPRS2 before F1RS  (since F1RS is bundled with MGPRS2 here),
but I would be unlucky if I only had the choice between those 2 ;-D

Better in which respects? It was very pretty but I kept on crashing.
And does anybody play Indy 500 these days?
