*IF* the 3dfx patch (if it exists) ever comes out, the 3dfx will most
likely be the best 3D card for N2. Until then a very fast 2D card
should do the trick.

Actually, the best 3d card for Nascar2 right now is the new Hercules
Thriller 3d rendition chip card. It is the latest and greatest in the
rendition family, which Nascar2 was written for. You can get it with 8mb
ram, or a stripped down version without tv out with 4mb ram. It's also a
great 2d card. I am using one of the original rendition chip cards, the
Sierra Screamin3d, mfg by Canopus, and the graphics in rendition are
awesome. When I see a 3dfx version of N2, and am able to compare it to
rendition, I will gladly state if it is superior or not.

 I have a Stealth II s220 with the Rendition 2100 chip and it works
great!  Cant beat it for $90 (after the $20 rebate from diamond).

I had Stealth s220 and it was junk. I just purchased the Thriller and it
installed with no problems.
 I set clouds to Auto and set Frame rate to go off at 30. Nascar2 never
missed a beat. Clouds never went off.
It works in Rendition DMA mode and Rendition. Great card.
