T2 Wheel Separate Axis Mod question !!

If anyone's done this mod recently, please drop me a line, I have a couple
questions before I attempt it.  Namely, I've cut open the adapter to expose
pin13 of the joystick port, and there's a wire attached to it.  Do cut that
wire or go ahead and leave it and solder another wire onto it?  Any other
tips appreciated!

If I can remember, you dont need to cut the adapter to get a the pins.
The cable going into the steering wheel housing has all the wires you
need. Just need a multimeter to find out which colours go on which
pin. But this does mean an extra wire*** out of the steering
wheel housing (which goes into the pedals).
