OK, what about if a person doesn't really care for Porches one way or
the other, but just wants a fun racing game where the CPU cars don't
cheat?

From what I've gathered, NFS:PU sounds like the first simulation-heavy
NFS they've created.  'Cept maybe the first NFS, that wasn't bad...
As long as the CPU cars don't float around and perform impossible
turns, I think I might enjoy this one.

No, as far as I can tell they use the same physics model as I do. They
even make mistakes (spinning out) and get into accidents sometimes.

Well, IMHO, maybe for the opponents, but look at the police and the
traffic cars ...
Also, the cars are too slippy ! The road are too wide , so the feelings of
speeds is very very bad ! I realy prefer the PSX version ! ( minus the GFX
);

The AI drive just like you do.  I have looked in my rear view mirror just in
time to see a AI car hit a fence and flip or spin out.  They make mistakes
just like we do.

Sure they make mistakes :o)
Traffic car bumps each other, sometimes get stucks in the wrong side off the
road :o)

Sure ... maybe more than we do :o)

I always thought the traffic in the original NFS was reasonably well
behaved, and the mistakes they made (sleepily pulling out to pass without
"checking their mirrors") were believable.  Things degraded and eventually
we ended up with the pickup trucks and station wagons of NFS3 smoking their
tires in lurid drifts at every corner.  On the other hand, it was good for a
laugh.
