N2 BGN Track Pack in Canada

Well, I picked up the track pack tonight... I've installed it and played
with it a little but I thought I would get on here and mention that it is
available in Canada.

I bought it at Electronics Boutique for $37.99, it was also available at
CompuCentre (for $44.99!).in the Toronto area.

Looks great... I like the fact that they eliminated the year from the track
selection display so you don't feel the need to Hex-edit 96 out of the
game... although I think an implementation where you could have put the year
in the Calendar file with the rest of the date would have been a more
intelligent solution (I suppose this would have taken a few more minutes of
programming). I have not even LOOKED at Texas yet but California looked
great...

I've come to really enjoy the short tracks and clearly this is going to give
me a lot more fun, learning my way around the smaller venues.  For the
longest time I was one of those Talladega people that was afraid to venture
to any track where I had to use the brakes (I really sucked in an offline
league I joined heh heh). Now I find myself delighted to have more of that
"real" racing experience you get from being side-by-side lap after lap with
other cars.

Anyways, its out for all my fellow Canucks... and only a couple days after
the US retailers. I guess we can't complain too much!

Yes, but the tight steering at the short tracks has my arms hurting
from turning the wheel so tight.

(This is *praise*... it's realistic. Just makes me realize that I need
more exercise. <grin>)
