Just saw this posted on BHMS.  I suppose it makes up for sbdt being

VDT F1 1977 Press Release [14-02-2004 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
Vermin Design Team are proud to announce its plans to release a stand
alone racing simulation based upon the F1 1977 season. The sim will be
built around NetKar's game engine with the help of Kunos, who is the
creator and developer of the netkar game.

As a team we are aiming to produce a realistic racing simulation,
which captures the feel and the spirt of racing in 1977. This includes
introducing a progressive season to play through, allowing car changes
to happen throughout the season as per real life. Also there will be a
F2 1976 training season with all the respective cars from that class.
Please see FAQ's for a full list of planned features.

Our current progress status is at Alpha stage 0.2. The below list is a
guide to what we have already started to do.

- Developing car models
- Design features
- In game menu designs
- Compiling research for the cars physics

Please see attatched pictures of our current progress with the car
models, the rendered pictures are our game models, rendered in Cinema.

We will release more information regarding our progress in our next
press release. Please keep checking our forum, link can be found
below, for updates. In the meantime we will leave you in suspense on
what else we have to offer. Should you have any questions please see
FAQ's, if then should your question remain unanswered please post a
thread on our forum and we will see if we can answer it.
