FTP access to ICR and F1GP info and patches

by Peter Burk » Mon, 14 Feb 1994 01:31:28

I just started an ftp host on my office machine that will allow up to 5
concurrent anonymous ftps to my box. The files I have available are so
far:

F1GP:

the hex files for the Little F1GP series on America Online, the F1GP
editors version 1.1 and 1.2 (2.0 coming soon), and a few text files
regarding the rules of the championship

ICR:

The patches from Papyrus (1.02 and a utility file for naming cars), the
Car Color fix that gives Nigel and Mario the proper looking white cars
with a Kmart look-alike sponsor, AOL Indy car Racing Championship Rules
and schedules.

Planned:

Results and standings of Championships, driving tips and setup tips, FAQ
files, etc.

The machine will be named soon - email me some suggestions of what to
call the site (it'll be something like name.macc.wisc.edu).

Uptimes of the machine are planned to be 9am-6pm CST, with longer hours
possible if demand goes up. I would like to keep the site "energy star
compliant" and turn the thing off once in a while.

If anybody has comments or suggestions regarding this "auto simulator
archive", please email to me at

I will be online with this site later today for more testing and
configuration work. Don't expect it to be up before 2pm CST today on
Saturday.

Don't forget: the results for the Milwaukee Mile in the AOL ICR
championship are due Sunday night!

To avoid confusion: macc.wisc.edu is NOT the name of the site. That's
just the mail box I use.

To ftp these files you must connect to the following IP number (no name
yet!)

144.92.30.243

This was not included in my original post.

The computer is currently off-line, but later today the thing should be
available for the first log ons....
