OT ISDN help.. :(

by Ben Danie » Tue, 16 Apr 2002 02:28:01

Hi Guys,
Can someone help please. I had a computer problem, and was going to
install Windows so that i had all my programmes etc not overwritten.
It did most of the install but crashed right at the end. So I gave up,
took it to a shop and he got it up and running again.
The only problem I have now is that my ISDN does not work.
I think it might be something to do with the Capi driver ???
I spent ages trying to sort it out. I got pissed with it, and deleted
everything to do with the card, and reinstalled it in a different slot
and loaded in the drivers. Now the computer freezes whilst it is
trying to make a connection to my ISP. I am using my modem atm, but I
would like to get the ISDN card working again.
Does anyone have any clues as to what I can do to get it working
again?
Many thanks,
Ben.

Ben,

if it's an AVM Fritz card, installing the full Fritz software package
installs the necessary CAPI ports etc. automatically. It's been a long time
for me since I installed this, therefore I can't be more specific, but just
installing the Fritz comms software would do it.
