So has anyone gotten N3 to work OK with a Banshee card or do I have to get
yet _another_ new 3D-card?

I have seen many posts from folks who can't get N3 to work with Voodoo Banshee.
Papyrus are you reading? Can you help them out please?

Yes, I'm using a Diamond Monster Fusion (16 megs) and the game runs
fine.

Have you updated drivers to the latest available?

I'm using a Creative Labs Blaster Banshee and it works great for me.
(Using 3DFX's latest reference drivers)

The damn thing isn't even due here for maybe a month, I'm just making sure
I don't have to dish out an extra $100 for a Voodoo3 so I can play!

No problems here, just loaded the game up and hit the track...all detail on
except clouds, 800x600, fps drops a bit in the pits with a lot of cars
present, but it smooths out as soon as the cars get strung out a bit.

Using Monster Fusion 16 megger.
Works flawlessly :)

It fact, my $230 TNT Ultra looked like crap, put in my Banshee and it
looks beautiful.

Running fine on my Diamond Fusion but the quality is ***compared to
higher-end cards. The textures (on mine anyways) are very washed out. Won't
bother making a paint job until I get a new card.

To anyone complaining about the washed out look of 3Dfx, have you tried turning
the gamma down in the display properties?
Right-click on your desktop, choose properties then the tab for your 3D card.
If your gamma is set to 1.30 try 1.10.  Turning it down is the way to go.

Jason.

I have a CL AGP Banshee, and use the Q3 drivers from 3dfx- no problems at
all.

Hey, thanks for that. Actually, it really does look good. Its just that my
room-mate is running it on SLI right next to me. His colors are much deeper then
mine. I'm just being picky. I'm turning into an old women in my later years.
