Here's something I don't get. If CPR is supposed to be the
hyper-realistic sim that Microsoft claims, how the hell can people turn
laps of 51 secs in Toronto, 1:01 in Laguna, 1:21 in Australia. Give me a
break, there's no way that armchair Indy drivers ar 10 seconds better
than the real thing per lap. !!!

Hi Clay,

You bring up an interesting point. I believe the the lap times are achieved
by:

1) Using RAIN tires on dry pavement. There is a flaw in the sim where this
allows you to get better traction - this is wrong and is a fix is being
investigated.

2) There isn't enough pain when going off the grass. In other words, if you
go into the sand at Laguna or the grass at cleveland, it doesn't have a huge
effect on your speed/control. A fix for this is also being investigated.

Hi Eric,

I recently spoted another bug : lap times on pit board and in PI Ana.
don't match.

And I have some suggestions :

It would be very nice if we could save PI data and replay for single
hotlap. Sound in replay would be nice too.

Is it possible to make replays (PI An.) from this version incompatibile
with new version of CPR (after applying the patch) so we could avoid
situations in hotlap competitions where some of the competitors would
still use old version to achieve faster lap times with rain tyres.

This last paragraph hits the nail right on the head. Well put.
