..and got N4 for christmas from the old ball and chain.  now I don't
consider N4 very interesting for off-line racing, so how do I go about
finding newbie-races where I won't get wrecking-banned for screwing
up every other corner?

TIA and MX

Papy server.  I don't think it's _possible_ to get banned from there for
anything short of verbal abuse or driving backwards and wrecking people on
purpose.

Be warned.  We are talking the dredges of N4 racing here.  The Papy servers
are UGLY!

I guess the thing to do would be to practice some before racing online.
There are alot of new drivers on Sierra.com and they don't all get banned so
I would suggest just try to learn and not wreck anyone on purpose or flame
people.

Stick with the Brick, WRD, Statracer, and WRD servers.  On weekday mornings
you can find quality racing on Papy Loops.

That would make sense.  All the kiddies are in school :)

I agree with the Brick, WRD, etc... servers.  There also pretty stable.

The Orion Servers used to be fun, but lately they've turned over the 'keys'
to some moderators that use their Eject privilages as a replacement for a
small, well, let's just say they are trigger happy and tend to use it for
personal gratification...

that's another thing, I guess--I have no idea what "brick", WRD or
Statracer means.  heck, we don't even know what "winston cup" or
"pickup racing" is here in Norway.

"Papy Loops" sound pretty much self-explanatory, though.

good to hear.  but it isn't cool causing problems for people even if
it's unintentional.  I guess what I really need to know is where I
should _not_ go. :)

btw; thanks for all the replies, guys.

or, well, "papy loops" kinda sounds like a breakfast cereal, but other
than that...

you have to sign in to get a user/password and open up a port mapping in
your network, it's somewhere in the FAQ of the site....haven't been there in
a while and the port mapping is done on anothr computer (the gateway) so i
don't have the port number here

Is that the correct URL?  Before, I simply got the 404 error.  No way to 'sign
up' or anything.  I just tried it again and I get some stupid Netfinders.com
and eRealEstate.com page.  WTF?
