I've been playing the intermediate mode on CMR, and every time I get to
stage 5 at Australia, it locks up when it's about 20% loaded just before the
start of the stage.

I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it again, even started the championship
for the beginning again, but it still locks up.

This is **really** annoying as I can't get any further with the game, and I
want to get to great britain.

Really hope someone can help.

It's a 3Dfx related problem. Try running the stage with software
accelereted graphics.

It's a known bug: stage 5 in Oz don't run with Voodoo2. No patches
known to help. You onlay can save the game after stage 4, change
graficcard on your normal card, and go stage 5 and 6 with bad colors
and resolution. After this, change on voodoo2 again.

Again, thank you very much, you've solved the problem for me and I can carry
on racing!!

Also, I downloaded the latest 3dfx drivers, and now there is no transparency
in the game!!! All the smoke and water looks ridiculous because it is 100%
opaque.  I though that new drivers were meant to improve things!!

I don't think, it's so different - except of the problem with
voodoo2-cards. CMR-Australia stage5 does not work with V2. If you find
a solution (new drivers, cheat, patch), tell me please, but I never
heard of it.
