The Hawaii race you saw on ESPN2 was on Hawaii (a.k.a. the NASCAR
Racing League prototype). We had Jeff dialed in from the track in
C***te, 3 other pods (look like cars with computers inside) at the
E3 show in L.A., and a bunch of people from the Papyrus office in
Watertown, Ma. We had it set up as a series race -- in other words,
you needed a password to get in. It was done as part of the press
conference where NASCAR Racing 2, the NASCAR Racing League, and NASCAR
Racing for the Sony Playstation were announced.
One of the people racing with us from L.A. was Brian France. It seems
that he & Jeff had a little bet going as to who was the better driver!
Who won? Well, Jeff came in 9th, Brian 10th. :-)
